WHAT TYPES OF PROPOSALS ARE NEEDED?

College Faculty, Academic and Student Services Administrators, and Student Affairs Staff are encouraged to submit proposals for educational sessions that focus on critical issues related to higher education.

SUBMISSIONS ON THE FOLLOWING THEMES/TOPICS ARE ENCOURAGED:

Pedagogy

Service Learning

Technology

Leadership

Student Services

Guided Pathways

Performance Funding

Completion Agenda

College Readiness


SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Concurrent Sessions will be 50 minutes in length and should be designed to explore and address issues, theories, and practices related to critical issues in higher education. Formats may include Lecture, Panel, or general Workshop. Proposals will be evaluated on quality of the content, the specific learning objectives, and the program type.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

To secure a breakout session slot, we encourage submission prior to March 1st.
 
SUBMISSION POLICIES

  • Sessions submitted by the stated deadline will be reviewed and notifications will be sent to the designated key contact only.
  • When a proposal is accepted, all presenters must comply with submission deadlines for session materials. Failure to do so may result in the non-inclusion of the session in the convention program.

  • Presenters will be required to sign and return the Speaker's Agreement
  • All costs associated with attending the AFC International Conference on Teaching and Learning are the responsibility of the individual presenter(s). Presenters will not be provided registration discounts or passes.
