We’re all in higher education for the same goal: to help our students succeed—to make a better life for themselves—and to provide passion, vitality and resilience to our communities. But working day-to-day within our respective niches, specializations and job functions, it’s easy to lose track of that unified goal.

 This year we’re celebrating what brings us together.

 At the Region III Joint Spring Conference we’d like showcase best practices and share stories that highlight unique, unexpected and fruitful collaborations between departments at your college—or even between colleges. We want to shine a light on cross-disciplinary, holistic approaches to achieving student success, to reestablish connections, and to reorient ourselves to that common purpose.

 This event is a joint effort of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) Region III and the Campus Safety Commission, but all higher education professionals are encouraged to attend.

 CALL FOR PROPOSALS – Deadline March 2, 2018!

 The Association of Florida Colleges (AFC), its Central Florida Board, and the Campus Safety Commission cordially invite you to submit a presentation proposal for the AFC Region III Joint Spring Conference.

 Presentations should relate to the conference theme: “All Together Now!” Particularly we’d like to feature examples of collaborative problem-solving and to promote shared investment in student success. Topics that impact a wide range of college functions are encouraged, as well as case studies that demonstrate different ways to bridge gaps and unite faculty or staff under a common mission.

 Proposals must include a title, presenter name and contact information, and a brief abstract (no more than 250 words). Completed proposal forms should be sent to James Miller, AFC Region III Director, at [email protected] with the subject line “Presentation Proposal for Region III Conference.”

The deadline to submit a proposal for the Region III Joint Spring Conference is Friday 2 March 2018.

Submission Policies

Proposals submitted by the stated deadline will be reviewed by the conference planning committee and presenters will be notified of the committee’s decision by the week following that deadline. When a proposal is accepted, all presenters must comply with submission deadlines for session materials. Failure to do so may result in non-inclusion in the conference program.

All costs associated with attending the AFC Region III Conference are the responsibility of the individual presenter(s).

 CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Registration for the AFC Region III Joint Spring Conference includes all conference activities and breakout sessions the day of the event, as well as breakfast and lunch. The deadline to register for this event is March 23, 2018.

Cancellation Policy

Full refunds will be issued for registrations cancelled through March 23, 2018.

50% refunds will be issued for cancellations through March 29, 2018.

No refunds will be given for “no-shows” or cancellations on the day of the event.
